The troop spends its first winter camp of the year at Camp Bashore.
2009:
Matthew Heckert, RJ Semple, Jared Byrnes, Tommy Keech and Mark Milewski are awarded the Eagle Scout rank. Matthew Heckert is inducted into the Vigil Honor of the Order of the Arrow. The adults take the troop on a combination Elk hunt and Klondike Derby using real cars after winter camp in DuBois, PA. The troop spends a winter camp at Hidden Valley Scout Reservation and summer camp at Broad Creek Scout Reservation followed by a canoeing weekend on the Delware River. Five (5) more candidates are tapped out for Order of the Arrow. 10 Adults successfully complete the Wilderness First Aid course.
2008: Rob Nicolaides is inducted into the Vigil Honor of Order of the Arrow. The troop spends summer camp at Camp Mountain Run in DuBois, PA Sean Loughead is awarded the Eagle Scout rank. 2007: The troop finally leaves Camp Ware as its resident camp to go to Harpers Ferry, W.V. The scouts hike on the Appalachian trail, the C&O canal, Antitem NMP and canoe and raft on the Shenandoah and Potomac rivers. What a blast! TJ Nicolaides is inducted into the Vigil Honor of the Order of the Arrow Nate Conlin, Tim Heindl, Frank Leaf and Rob Nicolaides are awarded the Eagle Scout rank. Long-time leader, Claude Boddy, passes away. Mr. Boddy camped with scouts for over 50 years and was a fixture at OA weekends. 2006: The troop finally completes the entire 141 miles of the Horseshoe Trail after starting last year and doing parts of the trail on weekends. Pat Conlin and Brian Heckert are inducted into the Vigil Honor of Order of the Arrow. Pat Conlin is awarded the Eagle Scout rank. 2005: The troop travels to Daniel Webster Council in New Hampshire for ice climbing. 2004: Ray Conlin is inducted into the Vigil Honor of the Order of the Arrow. TJ Nicolaides is awarded the Eagle Scout rank. 2002: Brian Heckert takes over as scoutmaster from Ray Conlin. 2001: Brandon Conlin is awarded the Certificate of Merit for his actions in treating a fellow camp staffer that was seriously injured at Camp Ware. 2000: Michael Heckert is awarded the Eagle Scout rank. 1998: The troop travels to Daniel Webster Council in New Hampshire for a Winter survival weekend. The temperature drops to -10 as scouts and leaders sleep outside on a tarp! BRRRRRRR! Brandon Conlin is awarded the Eagle Scout rank. 1993: Rich Kinney takes over as Scoutmaster from Tim Martin. The troop doubles in size from 3 to 7. 1985: Robert M. Reczek, Jr. is inducted into the Vigil Honor of the Order of the Arrow. 1984: Claude Boddy and Robert M. Reczek, Sr. are inducted into the Vigil Honor of the Order of the Arrow. 1983: Charles Summers in inducted into the Vigil Honor of the Order of the Arrow. 1977: Don Showalter steps down as Scoutmaster. 1975: Don Showalter takes over as Scoutmaster from Frank Snyder. Tim Keech treks to Philmont. 1974: Jim and Gary Myers are inducted into the Vigil Honor of the Order of the Arrow. Claude Boddy and John Harple join the troop as leaders. 1973: Frank Snyder takes over as Scoutmaster from Gary Myers. 1972: Gary Myers, Bill Dunn and Tom Keech make the first troop trek to Philmont. 1971: Charlie Brown is inducted into the Vigil Honor of the Order of the Arrow 1970: The troop is formed from the former Troop 42 members Jim Myers, Gary Myers and David Ford. The sponsor is the Caln Elementary School PTA. Tom Keech joins in the fall of 1970.
